2016 Scholarship: Recognising Women at the Forefront of Change
Well, arrangements are well underway for the 2016 Scholarship night supporting young women studying in fields of non-traditional trades.
For those who may be unaware of this initiative the scholarship both recognises and offers a financial token of support to a deserving woman (or women) cur
rently enrolled and undertaking a qualification in a recognised non-traditional trade within the Hunter Region. Criteria among other items include the requirement to be in at least the second year of study.
Each year, the Womens’ Network hosts a dinner honouring finalists for the scholarship allowing them the platform to introduce themselves to the greater community and build valuable connections to assist them in their journey forward.
What many are not aware of is that the Scholarship itself is supported solely through funds collected through our annual memberships. Without the financial support of members, this scholarship is not possible.
Ladies, I encourage you, if this is an ende
avour you support and you have not yet become a financial member, this is the time! Membership is $20 per annum, you can download a copy of the membership form here on our website or by contacting Network Secretary on womensnetworkhunter@gmail.com.
